For the 6th year running, here's my world tour of 40 inspiring outlets.
For the 6th year in a row, here is my world tour of 40 inspiring retail destinations and businesses.
This year has indeed been the year of great ecological awareness and also the year of great paradoxes, with many brands orienting their retail networks and shops towards positive energy and going so far as to set the price of their products based on their carbon impact, while others exploring Metaverses and creating collections that are sold in virtual currencies.
It has been a year that has seen independent stores multiplying, technology allowing for advanced diagnostics thanks to artificial intelligence, and Amazon entering into the fashion retail sector completely digitizing fashion shopping. At the same time, store experiences dedicated to the heritage and sensory expression of brands have been created becoming places where passionate «humans» can meet and exchange.
Finally, I wanted to illustrate an emerging and very significant trend this year, that of initiatives around inclusive trade. Today in France, 1 in 7 adults has a disability or limitation, and societal stigma impacts can be very diverse. It is essential that our businesses be the first places to embrace open-mindedness and address the need for a multi-dimensional and inclusive society. Similar to the positive influences of
ecological transitions in business, engagement in inclusive actions can have
indisputable positive returns for all.
